UBP Secretary General Ahmet Savaşan announced that within the scope of the party's digital transformation projects, the launch of the interactive website, where all events can be followed moment by moment, will be held on Thursday.

 

Secretary General of the National Unity Party (UBP) Ahmet Savaşan, While evaluating the election campaign and party activities, he gave information about the UBP's active work in the field, digital transformation projects, organizational structuring and election preparations. Savaşan, President Ersin Tatar’s performance in the international arena, its two-state solution approach, the fact that party activities can be followed through digital platforms and its strategies for the elections. He also elaborated on field performance, organizational strength and communication methods with citizens.

Commenting on the election campaign, Savaşan said, “Prime Minister Unal Üstel‘We have been working as if there is an election every day since the day ”s prime minister ’s office came to office,“ he said. Savaşan stated that from 2013, when he was the first candidate from the UBP party, until the 2023s, there was a reaction from the base that ”You only remember us from election to election", Unal Üstel‘s presidency and prime ministership, they visited each region every 6 months on average and explained their actions and the grassroots were surprised by this.

Stating that they have not entered the house for the last 3 years, Savaşan said that unlike the General Assembly of the Parliament, they did not take a summer vacation and emphasized that the UBP is ready for the elections and that “the UBP is doing more than it can do”.

Expressing that he was pleased with the participation in the events, Savaşan stated that politics today does not consist of village visits as it used to be and that it is necessary to be active on social media in order to reach a large audience. Stating that the UBP is the party that initiated the digital transformation in the country and that the Prime Minister, who leads the e-government projects, has taken a step for a parallel development in the party, Savaşan announced that they have been building an interactive web page in 6 districts and 1 center with a competent digital team for 3 months under his chairmanship and that for the first time a party will be able to see all its activities moment by moment. He announced that the launch will take place on Thursday.

Savaşan stated that these digital platforms will enable citizens to reach out to the party and voice their questions and complaints, and added that during the election period, the President and Presidential candidate Ersin Tatar‘s all events can also be followed on this platform.

Emphasizing that the UBP is ready for the elections within its own institutional structure, Savaşan said, “We are both fast and we will speed up towards the elections” by increasing the tempo every day. Stating that the organizational structure of the National Unity Party is very strong, Savaşan announced that the central election committee was established early this time, a women's election committee was formed under the chairmanship of Şerife Ünverdi and election committees with an average of 60 people were established in each district. Stating that every day is planned hour by hour until the end of the propaganda process for the election, Savaşan said that “Nicosia Women's Election Coordination Center was established with a core team of 70 distinguished women, started working and the details will be announced today”.

“WE ARE THE MOST PRODUCTIVE PARTY OF THE LAST 10 YEARS”

“Saying that ”the sun does not shine through the mud“, Savaşan stated that if what he said was hollow, people would say this, but citizens who see that what he said is not hollow will agree with what he said while watching the program. In response to the allegations that ”UBP is not working“, Savaşan said, ”We are the most productive party of the last 10 years, the most productive party of the last 10 years, the party that goes to the feet of the people, the party that is in productive time," and stated that he did not want to say that they did everything right or that there was a perfect course, but that they were at the highest level of the last 10 years in terms of field performance and productivity.

“Savaşan said, ”There are definitely shortcomings and mistakes in our actions, and we learn from them,“ adding, "UBP Ersin Tatar‘To put it mildly, it is a great injustice and a campaign of shadowing,” he said, adding, “We do not accept this, and reality already rejects this.”.

President Ersin Tatar‘s “successful policy of aggression”, which made Turkish Cypriots more visible in the international arena, the TRNC flag waved at international events, and the cooperation with Turkey paved the way for “more roads, more schools, more aid and contributions”. Speaking about Turkey and Northern Cyprus, Savaşan said that the two states “evolved on a good path with the contribution of the sincere dialog and politics of the presidents” and added: “All these Ersin Tatar‘s performance as president has been in favor of Turkish Cypriots,” he said.

“UNITED NATIONS PARAMETERS ARE NO MORE”

Savaşan said, “The parameters of the United Nations no longer exist” and added, “With the paradigms of the 1970s and the decisions of the 1980s, the Federation, which is the Turkish Cypriot thesis, could not be realized due to the unfair attitudes of Southern Cyprus and the international community’ and claimed that the Greek Cypriots have demonstrated 10s of times that they do not want a common state.

Savaşan stated that Tatar and the UBP support a two-state solution with the idea that the economy, political life and other areas of life can develop with a new politics. On the other hand, he stated that if Erhürman is elected, he will not be able to come to an agreement with the Republic of Turkey and quoted Turkish President Erdoğan and all Turkish authorities as saying that “there will be absolutely no return to the old politics”.
