At today's meeting of the Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic, the “Turkish Cypriot Social Insurance (Amendment) Bill” and the “Pension (Amendment) Bill” were referred to the General Assembly.

At its meeting today, the Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic unanimously approved the “Turkish Cypriot Social Insurance (Amendment) Bill” and the “Pension (Amendment) Bill” and referred them to the General Assembly.

According to the statement made by the Assembly, the Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic convened at 09.00 today under the chairmanship of UBP MP Committee Chairman Emrah Yeşilırmak.

The Committee discussed the “Turkish Cypriot Social Insurance (Amendment) Bill“, the ”Pension (Amendment) Bill“ and the ”Cadres of Personnel Working Abroad and Foreign Duty Allowances (Amendment) Bill" submitted by UBP Famagusta MP Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu.

The Committee first discussed the “Turkish Cypriot Social Insurance (Amendment) Law Proposal" and approved it unanimously and referred it to the agenda of the General Assembly. UBP Famagusta MP Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, the owner of the proposal, was also present at the meeting.

The Committee then discussed the “Pension (Amendment) Bill” and unanimously referred it to the agenda of the General Assembly.

“The committee, which continued to discuss the ”Staff Positions and Foreign Allowances of Personnel Working Abroad (Amendment) Bill" item by item, will continue its work on this bill at its next meeting.

Officials from the Deputy Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkish Cypriot Social Insurance Department, Security Forces Command, Eastern Mediterranean University, EMU BİR-SEN, EMU PER-SEN, EMU-SEN, KTAMS and KAMU-SEN attended the committee meeting and presented their views on the issue.

Committee member CTP MP Devrim Barçın, committee member UBP MPs Fırtına Karanfil and Ahmet Savaşan also attended the meeting.
