With the slogan “Let's Give Blood, Let's Give Life”, UBP Nicosia District Youth Branches took action upon being informed by Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Hospital officials that there was a shortage of blood and organized a blood donation campaign.
National Unity Party (UBP) Nicosia District Youth Branches organized a blood donation campaign in Sarayönü with the slogan “Let's Give Blood, Let's Give Life”.
UBP Nicosia District Chairman, MP Ahmet Savaşan In his speech, he called for participation in the donation campaign that will continue until 12.00 in Nicosia Sarayönü with the slogan “Let's Give Blood, Let's Give Life” as an activity of the Youth Branches of the Nicosia District Presidency.
Stating that voluntary blood donation is still of vital importance in the world, Savaşan said that the blood need in the country can be met sustainably by providing the blood needs of people in need and chronic patients through voluntary blood donation.
Pointing out that millions of people in the world and in the country owe their lives to people who voluntarily donate blood, Savaşan noted that as the UBP District Presidency Youth Branches, they aim to raise awareness in the country and help people in need.
Stating that they took action upon being contacted by Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Hospital officials about the blood shortage, Savaşan said, “I hope that the participation today will be more than expected and we can meet the blood needs of people in need of blood.”.
In his speech, Youth Branch President Özdemir Özerem noted that blood donation saves lives.
Expressing that they are aware of the importance of blood donation in the world, Özerem noted that they aimed to draw attention to the importance of blood donation with the event and to support the need for blood to some extent.
