22.20- In the light of the unofficial results, the members of Iskele, Güzelyurt and Lefke were determined in the UBP PM.

Accordingly, Salahi Serakıncı, Ümit Dolu, Halil İbrahim Orun, Mehmet Ziya Tolgan, Ramazan Arslan, Emine Uzun and Özgün Aydıntan became İskele PM members.

Ali Kandulu, Süleyman Aldağ, İnal Uzun, Türel Özdaş, Pembe Gertik and Fuat Özcan were elected as Güzelyurt PM members.

Tahsin Sabit, Ömür Ekendal, Sonay Lord and Hasip Uluhan were elected as Lefke PM members.

18.20 - ATUN: WE AIM TO FINISH THE VOTE COUNT BY LATE TONIGHT

Chairman of the 22nd Ordinary Assembly of the National Unity Party (UBP) UBP MP Sunat Atun, He said that the counting of votes to determine the winners of the Party Assembly membership is continuing “rapidly”, but that if the vote count extends until midnight tonight, the council will consider continuing the counting tomorrow.

Speaking at the 18th Hour Program on BRT Sunat Atun, Stating that they have created a large counting area for the Party Assembly membership election counting and that the ballots are being counted at 40 tables, he said, “The counting of the Lefke region is almost over and the counting for the Güzelyurt region has started simultaneously at the vacated tables.”.

Atun also said that the party assembly members for the Lefke region will be announced in a short period of about an hour. Stating that the vote counting for the Party Assembly membership is progressing at the desired level, Atun said, “Vote counting has started and accelerated. We also need to make sure that the vote counting is carried out in a transparent environment.”.

Atun also noted that there has been no objection to the results of the vote counts so far.

Atun said, “We aim to finish the vote counting until late tonight. In the following hours, if the counting extends until 24.00, we will re-evaluate as the Council.’.

HASİPOĞLU

UBP Secretary General Oguzhan Hasipoglu, In a statement to Turkish Agency Cyprus (TAK), he said that the vote counting to determine the winners of the party assembly membership started around 16.00.

Hasipoğlu stated that the counting of the Party Assembly membership elections for 70 people (50 general + 10 female quota + 10 youth), for which 182 people applied, started at around 16.00 and that the winners of the Party Assembly are expected to be determined late tonight.

THE WINNER OF THE CONGRESS WAS ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY...

At the Congress Hasan Taçoy and Nicosia MP who competed with Zorlu Töre Faiz Sucuoglu’s victory for the presidency was announced last night.

As a result of the election, Sucuoğlu, who received 60.6 percent of the votes, was elected as the new President of the UBP, while his rivals Taçoy received 32.8 percent and Töre received 4.6 percent of the votes.

A total of 8 thousand 727 votes were cast in the two-day voting. Sucuoğlu received 5 thousand 295 votes, Taçoy received 2 thousand 869 votes, Töre received 468 votes and 95 votes were invalid.

It was announced that Ezcan Özsoy and Gülçin Kınacı, who applied for membership of the Central Supervisory Board consisting of two people, and Selen Osmanlı, Faruk Cengiz Karaca, İbrahim Mısırlıoğlu, Mahmut Toray Hüdaverdi and Fuat Nalcıoğlu, who applied for membership of the Central Disciplinary Board consisting of five people, were directly elected as members without the need for elections.
