On Saturday, March 16, on the first day of the academy, there will be opening speeches by UBP Parliamentary Group Deputy Chairman, Nicosia District President Savaşan, UBP Secretary General Hasipoğlu and UBP President and Prime Minister Üstel, and the first lecture of the 3rd President Eroğlu on ’National Unity Party from Yesterday to Today“.
The National Unity Party Political Academy is starting its first semester of work in order to inform and raise awareness of party members.
The schedule for the 6-week first semester, which starts on March 16 and runs until April 27, has been announced.
According to the determined program, the UBP Politics Academy will start on Saturday, March 16th at 15.30 at the Near East University Grand Library Hall 4 with the opening speeches of the Academy Coordinator UBP Parliamentary Group Deputy Chairman, Nicosia District Chairman Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, UBP Secretary General Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu and President and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
After the opening speeches, the first lecture will be given by UBP Honorary President Dr. Derviş Eroğlu, who served as the UBP President for 24 years between 1983-2005 and 2008-2010, as Prime Minister for nearly 19 years and as the TRNC President for 5 years.
Eroğlu's lecture topic is “National Unity Party from yesterday to today”.
On the same day, UBP Secretary General Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu will also give a lecture to the participants on “The decisions of the Republican Assembly on Cyprus”.
UBP members who wish to participate in the program will be able to apply free of charge until Saturday, March 16th at the Political Academy Registration Form - UBP Nicosia District (ubplefkosailcesi.org) or by calling the UBP District Presidencies in their districts.
On April 27th, when the program was to end, the people who attended all the lectures were addressed by the President of the UUPP, Prime Minister Unal Üstel and President Tatar will be present at a ceremony to be attended by the participants. Before the ceremony, President Tatar will give a lecture on the “Vision of a Two-State Solution” to the participants.
