Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, in his statements during his visits to Serdarlı and Geçitkale, emphasized that “No stopping, keep going together”.

National Unity Party (UBP) President and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel came together with the people of the region and party members in separate meetings held in Serdarlı and Geçitkale.

According to the written statement made by the Prime Ministry, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel gave important messages for 2024 during his visits.

UBP Secretary General Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş, Minister of National Education and Culture Nazım Çavuşoğlu, Geçitkale- Serdarlı Mayor Halil Kasım, Nicosia District President and MP Ahmet Savaşan accompanied Ünal Üstel during his visits.

Stating that they are happy to receive thanks for the local government reform in every region they visit, Üstel said, “The thanks of our people and municipal laborers are enough for us. Those who criticized our municipalities reform project are thanking us today. We made a promise. We said no one will be victimized. Our municipality workers are happy. Infrastructures are being enriched in every region. We have been determined and brave about the reform they have not dared since 2008, because we believe in this state. We love our people. We say this flag will never fall. We say the TRNC will live forever.’.

“WE WILL CONTINUE TO REALIZE FIRSTS“

Reiterating that the government program includes implementing the projects that have been waiting for years, doing what has not been done and completing the works that will benefit the public, Üstel also gave good news to the public on December 3, World Disability Day.

“For 17 years, disabled people have not been employed. As of Friday, December 1, we have employed our disabled people. We will continue to keep our promise. We will continue to employ the disabled in 2024.’.

“SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT AFTER 26 YEARS”

Üstel said that they will realize the social housing project exactly 26 years later, moreover, in a tax-exempt manner, and announced that as soon as the 2024 budget is passed by the Parliament, the legal legislation will be completed and they will start receiving applications for social housing.

Üstel said, “Our young people should stay in their homeland and protect their land. This is our only concern.”.

Stating that the infrastructure work on rural plots could not be completed due to unstable governments and that the opposition did not attach any importance to this work when it was in power, Üstel reminded that the infrastructure water work on the rural plots of Sınırüstü - Mormenekşe was started with the support of Motherland Turkey.

Üstel said, “Now it is the turn of Geçitkale and Serdarlı. Electricity and other infrastructure works will be completed quickly. We continue to work region by region and serve our people. There are those who are disturbed by our execution, but we will keep this state alive and embrace it with the world.”.

Reminding that a very important cooperation agreement was signed between UBP - AK Party and Yeni Azerbaijan Party in the process of embracing the world, Üstel emphasized that this cooperation will be reflected in tourism, agriculture, culture and other fields in a short time.

“That is why we are working hard to make our country ready for this opening and embrace and we will continue to work tirelessly,” said Üstel.

Stating that in 2024, they will act with the perspective of fiber optic to every home project and digital island, Üstel stated that they will continue to provide social premium support to the private sector.

Üstel said, “Our public employees should also be at ease. There will be an increase at the same rate as the cost of living. We protect all our segments. We are working for each and every one of our people to live in peace and prosperity.”.

Emphasizing that they will continue to provide important support to tourism, industrialists, agriculture and animal husbandry within the 2024 budget, Üstel said

“For the first time in many years, we will give such a high incentive premium. We will continue to support our livestock with feed.”

“RESOURCES ALLOCATED TO THE IMMOVABLE PROPERTY COMMISSION INCREASED”

Üstel also pointed out that not enough resources have been allocated to the Immovable Property Commission until today and said that the transfer of resources to the commission has increased with the recent measures taken by the government.

Stating that the Greeks were also uncomfortable with the transfer of resources to the Commission, Üstel explained that everything was under control, that they would take the necessary measures and that there would be a new regulation on land sales.

Emphasizing that the TRNC continues on its way with confident steps with the financial and diplomatic support of Motherland Turkey, Üstel noted that the interest of investors from Azerbaijan and other friendly countries in the TRNC has increased even more in recent days, which will bring economic benefits to the country.

“NO STOPPING”

Prime Minister Üstel stated that the events in Gaza upset them more and more each passing day and concluded his words as follows:

“We have gone through similar sufferings. Thanks to our motherland, we are safe today. We want a state that is no longer crushed under embargoes, that has made reforms, achieved economic development, solved infrastructure problems and reached the world of information technology. We will do whatever is necessary for this.

From education to health, from labor to agriculture... We will never stop. We will continue on our way together. We will move forward decisively, without deviating from the path we know.”
