“Strong and stable UBP will make the TRNC strong and stable,” Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said at the meeting held at the Nicosia District Presidency of UBP Nicosia Walled City Organizations.
The consultation meetings initiated by the National Unity Party (UBP) Nicosia District Presidency last week continue with the participation of the heads of the organizations affiliated to the district with the call of Nicosia District Chairman, MP Ahmet Savaşan. Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and Secretary General Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu also attended the second meeting held with the participation of UBP Nicosia Walled City Organizations. The meeting was held at the Nicosia District Presidency.

In his speech at the meeting, Nicosia District Chairman Dr. Savaşan emphasized that the consultation meetings held within the scope of their planned activities will continue with all the heads of organizations in Nicosia and said that their aim is to reinforce the unity in Nicosia and to implement activities worthy of Nicosia. Savaşan emphasized that they act with the awareness that the TRNC will be strengthened to the extent that they strengthen the UBP and that they are working to prepare the Turkish Cypriot people for the future.

UBP President and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, in his speech at the meeting, stated that with the support of Turkey, the necessary economic steps have been taken to make 2024 a much better year than 2023, and explained that the cost of living of 50.31 percent will be reflected in January salaries and the cost of living will be given 3 times in 2024.
Stating that the promises made to eliminate the imbalance between those who receive high salaries and those who receive low salaries among public employees have been kept and a common point has been reached with the unions, Üstel emphasized that social insurance premium support will continue to be provided to the private sector. Reminding that a satisfactory increase in the minimum wage was also made, Üstel said that the significant support given to animal husbandry and agriculture will continue.

Pointing out that a strong and stable UBP will also make the TRNC strong and stable, Üstel said that the work will continue increasingly in Nicosia and all other districts with this awareness.
