Near East University was awarded the Quality Award in Institutional Development at the World Medical Tourism and Global Health Congress, which is recognized as the world's largest medical tourism congress and held in the United States of America (USA).

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University (Near East Universty Nicosia Cyprus), Near East University was awarded the Quality Award in Institutional Development, USA‘s Nevada Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel by Jeff Coxon, President of the Medical Tourism Organization Europe at the international congress held in Las Vegas.

TRNC Flag Waved in the USA

In the statement, the TRNC, Mexico, Haiti, Malaysia, eighteen countries such as ministerial level participation in the international congress, where many distinguished universities such as British Columbia, California, Colorado, Miami, Sydney, Texas, as well as world-renowned institutions in the field of health such as Johns Hopkins, the Chairman of the NEU Board of Trustees İrfan S. Günsel chaired by Board Members Ahmet Savaşan and Ahmet Çağman. In the statement, it was also stated that NEU Hospital was represented with the TRNC flag at the congress where countries and organizations participated with their stands.
