The delegation headed by Near East University (NEU) Founding Rector Dr. Suat İrfan Günsel attended the “Leaders Summit” held in Montreaux, Switzerland.
Evaluating the awarding of “Socrates” to NEU Founding Rector Dr. Suat İ. Günsel and “Best University Gold Award” to NEU at the 11th “Leaders Summit” held this year, İrfan Suat Günsel said, “The awards were actually given to the TRNC” and expressed that the awards received at international meetings held in important countries of the world are important for the awareness of the country.
According to the information given by NEU, NEU Board of Trustees Chairman Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel and Board Member Ahmet Savaşan Turkish Consul General in Zurich Aslı Oral and TRNC Charge d'Affaires in Geneva Fatma Arşehit held a press conference in Montreaux, Switzerland.
Günsel emphasized that they received the awards given to NEU on behalf of the TRNC and presented the awards to the Turkish Cypriot people.
Ahmet Savaşan, Aslı Oral and Fatma Arşehit also took the floor at the press conference and emphasized that the achievements and awards were a source of pride for the TRNC.
