ÖZTÜRKLER “THE TURKISH WORLD IS STRONG TOGETHER”

Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic Ziya Öztürkler, In his speech at the reception, Öztürkler drew attention to the cultural and historical unity of the Turkic world. Stating that the cultural and spiritual ties in the vast geography of the Turkic world constitute a big family that holds the peoples together, Öztürkler said, “This heart bond extending from Asia to Europe is strengthened not only by political but also by cultural and social values.”.

“Stating that the close interest and contacts that Azerbaijan shows to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in line with the understanding of ”3 states, 1 nation" have a great meaning, Öztürkler said that the participation of the TRNC as an observer member of the Organization of Turkic States in recent years has strengthened the relations. Öztürkler conveyed his greetings to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Speaker of the Parliament Sahibe Gaffarova and expressed his belief that the friendship and cooperation between the countries will continue to increase. He also shared his excitement about his official visit to Azerbaijan in May.

FEYZIYEV NOWRUZ IS A MESSAGE OF UNITY AND PEACE FOR THE TURKIC WORLD

In his speech, Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Javanshir Feyziyev expressed his pleasure to be in the Turkish Cypriot territory. Feyziyev said, “Every time we come, we come with love and happiness. However, perhaps this will be our last visit to this building, because we have learned that you will move to the new parliament building. We look forward to visiting you in the new building.” Noting that Nowruz has a great meaning for the Turkic world, Feyziyev stated that this ancient holiday conveys the messages of peace, love and sharing more powerfully than ever before. Feyziyev also welcomed the President of the Assembly of the Republic Ziya Öztürkler’s visit to Azerbaijan in May is being awaited with great impatience by the delegation.

WARRIOR ECONOMIC COOPERATION IS VERY VALUABLE

UBP Nicosia MP Ahmet Savaşan, emphasized the importance of friendship and economic cooperation. Expressing his pleasure to meet with the Azerbaijani delegation on the occasion of Nowruz, Savaşan stated that the further development of relations between the two countries and increasing cooperation in economic fields, especially exports, is of great value.

BESIM COMMON VALUES MUST BE CARRIED INTO THE FUTURE

CTP Nicosia MP Filiz Besim In his speech, Besim congratulated the people of Azerbaijan and the Turkic world on Nowruz. Besim stated that the development of relations between the two countries has great significance, especially in export and other economic fields. “I believe that such ties of friendship carry missions to be transferred to the future on the basis of common culture and values,” he said, emphasizing that relations should continue to strengthen.

GULIYEV CYPRUS IS A PART OF THE TURKIC WORLD

In his speech, Musa Guliyev, a member of the Azerbaijani Parliament, reminded the importance Heydar Aliyev attached to the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Turkic world and said: “We should come to Cyprus more often, not only from Azerbaijan and Turkey, but also from other Turkic states. The world should see that Northern Cyprus is not alone; there is a big Turkic world embracing it.”.

ATTAR CYPRUS IS A SPECIAL PLACE FOR ALL OF US

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Aygün Attar, Member of the Security and Foreign Policy Council of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, emphasized the support of Azerbaijan and the Turkic world for Cyprus. Attar said, “Cyprus is a very special and important place for all of us. It is a great happiness for me to be here today and celebrate Nowruz together.”.
