UBP MP as the Deputy Secretary General of the National Unity Party (UBP) responsible for organization Ahmet Savaşan was commissioned.
In the statement made by the National Unity Party Headquarters, Secretary General Oguzhan Hasipoglu’as Deputy Secretary General in charge of organizing, effective 23 May 2025. Ahmet Savaşan‘s appointment was announced.
Savaşan, who is of Paphos origin, was born in Nicosia in 1977. He completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees at Near East University. He conducted academic studies as an associate professor, organized more than 100 congresses and received awards. Having worked as a manager for 20 years, Savaşan served as the President of the World Health Tourism Council in 2023-24. Savaşan, who was elected as UBP Nicosia MP in 2022 and is currently UBP Group Deputy Chairman, contributed to nearly 100 legislative studies. Savaşan is married and has one child.
