A protocol was signed between TURKSOY member countries and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for the development of mutual cooperation in health.
According to the statement made by the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, the protocol covering the mutual development of Health Tourism activities between 14 member countries including Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and TRNC was signed by the Secretary General of TURKSOY (International Organization of Turkic Culture), Former Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan, Ambassador Prof. Dusen Kaseinov and the President of the Council Ahmet Savaşan at a ceremony held at Nicosia Merit Hotel. Dr. Remzi Gardiyanoğlu, Board Member of the Council and President of the Association of Independent Physicians, and TURKSOY Siberia Expert Timur B. Davletov were also present at the ceremony.
Kaseinov: The Protocol will create an important opportunity for Turkic Peoples
In his speech at the ceremony, Ambassador Dusen Kasseinov underlined that they are working to strengthen the unity and brotherhood of the Turkic Peoples, to transfer the common Turkic culture to future generations and to introduce it to the world. Stating that with the signed protocol, people from 14 TURKSOY member countries will be able to receive health services in Northern Cyprus under special conditions and at high standards, Kasseinov expressed his belief that thanks to this step taken, cooperation between TRNC and TURKSOY member states will develop in the field of Health Tourism after culture and education. Emphasizing that the Protocol will offer an important alternative to the Turkic Peoples in health, Kasseinov wished the agreement to be auspicious.

Ahmet Savaşan, President of the Council, started his speech by saying that Ambassador Dusen Kasseinov has dedicated himself to intercultural rapprochement and the development of relations between countries throughout his career and underlined that Kasseinov has made a great contribution to the TRNC in areas such as higher education, culture and arts. Stating that Northern Cyprus is preferred by more and more people from the region with the services it offers in areas such as heart, cancer, eye, orthopedics, in vitro fertilization and third age tourism, Savaşan said, “Our aim is to develop cooperation with Turkic Peoples”.
