UBP Nicosia District Consultation Meeting was held. Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel emphasized that they are working with all their strength for the development of the country.
National Unity Party (UBP) Nicosia District Consultative Meeting was held with the agenda of “6-month activity program, actions and recent political developments”. The meeting was held at The Elysium Park.
According to the information given by the UBP, Nicosia District Chairman, MP Ahmet Savaşan, who announced the 6-month work program of the UBP Nicosia District, said in his speech that the program prepared by the women's branches, youth branches and district authorized boards included many awareness and social responsibility projects, as well as educational seminars, social, sports, cultural activities and a workshop titled The Next 10 Years of the TRNC.
“POLITICS ACADEMY WILL START TRAINING IN MARCH”
Giving information about the Political Academy, which was specially prepared by scientists for the UBP youth and women in 6 districts and will be conducted by 6 district presidents together, Savaşan said that expert speakers will discuss the Founding Process of the UBP and its Importance in the Turkish Cypriot History, the History of the Cyprus Problem and the Negotiation Process, the Experiences of the Turkish Cypriots in the Historical Process, Basic Political Concepts and Ideology, He said that he will give lectures on topics such as the Eastern Mediterranean Energy Problem and the Strategic Importance of the Island of Cyprus, Use of Artificial Intelligence, Economic Policies, Major Projects Realized during the UBP Governments, Strategic Communication and Public Administration in Politics, Social Media Literacy, Politics and Society, International Politics and Reflections on the TRNC, Municipalism and Transformation in Local Governments.
Stating that the Political Academy will start its work in March and the first program will last for 9 weeks, Ahmet Savaşan noted that the aim of the political academy is to contribute to the personal development of young people and women and to support them to take a more active role in politics.

HASİPOĞLU THERE IS A STRONGER UBP BOTH ON THE GROUND AND IN ACTION
UBP Secretary General and Famagusta MP Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu emphasized a stronger UBP both in the field and in practice. Stating that with the consultation meeting, there will be an opportunity to discuss both government work and views on Cyprus, Hasipoğlu noted that UBP will continue to voice the new politics based on equal sovereignty on every platform together with Motherland Turkey.
Hasipoğlu said that the government headed by President and Prime Minister Üstel continues to work steadily and that the UBP will continue to support these efforts with all its organizations in order for the TRNC to take its rightful place in the world.

UBP President and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel thanked UBP Nicosia District Chairman, MP Ahmet Savaşan and the Board of Directors, Women's and Youth Branches as well as those who contributed to the organization of the night and emphasized that the UBP is much stronger when it is together.
Üstel said, “We are experiencing a very good example of the unity formed in Nicosia this evening.” Reminding that President Tatar and the previous President Faiz Sucuoğlu gave him the Prime Ministerial duty as the elders of the party, Üstel emphasized that they have been working with all their strength for the development of both the UBP and the country since the day he took over the flag. Pointing out that the strength of the UBP comes from its unity, Prime Minister Üstel gave the message that “If the UBP is strong, the TRNC is strong”.
“2024 WILL BE MUCH BETTER THAN 2023”
Stating that they started the new year with new good news, Üstel explained that they prioritized young people with their projects. Noting that they reflected the cost of living on the salaries of public employees, determined the minimum wage in consensus, Üstel announced that they will increase the amount of social premium support to the private sector. Üstel underlined that 2024 will be much better than 2023.
“THE FOUNDATION OF THE NEW HEADQUARTERS WILL BE LAID IN MAY”
Giving the good news that the foundation of the UBP's new headquarters building will be laid at the night, Üstel said, “We will build a modern, functional headquarters worthy of our party. I invite you all to our groundbreaking ceremony in April.”.
He stated that in the new headquarters, areas will be created where the policies that will carry the country to the future will take shape, where the General Secretariat, PM, MYK, MPs, women's branches and youth branches will be able to work effectively.
Üstel said, “UBP is moving stronger into the future. I say again, 2024 will be much better than 2023.”.
