On 20 January 2025, an important meeting was held to develop health tourism between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Turkey. Leading names of the sector came together in the program organized to develop health tourism, strengthen cooperation between both countries and promote health services at the international level. During the meeting, it was discussed to take strategic steps to strengthen the health tourism infrastructure and increase the potential in this field.
Among the participants of the meeting were TRNC Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Mr. Fikri ATAOĞLU, TRNC Minister of Health Dr. Hakan DİNÇYÜREK, USHAŞ Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Engin KARABAŞ and USHAŞ General Manager Mr. Behlül ÜNVER. Remzi GARDİYANOĞLU, President of the Association of Private Hospitals Dr. Hayat İZEL, President of the Association of Reproductive Medicine Dr. Savaş ÖZYİĞİT, President of KITREB Mr. Dener ÖYMEN and Vice President of KITOB Mr. Fethi ÖZBOĞAÇ also attended and contributed to the meeting.
The discussions on cooperation opportunities in the field of health tourism and the future of the sector will enable both countries to take steps to establish a strong partnership in the field of health tourism.
